Vader is still competing at 10 years old and runs beautifully. You cannot believe his age except for his gray muzzle. Typically, the rigors of competition and training wear down the joints of competitive dogs. This is a very significant highlight to the health of this stud!

I chose Vader as a stud for Mia because of his lineage, genetics, and trying to mix in what I think is most needed to produce my next generation of competition dog. I like his blocky head, traditional short haired coat, and smaller-to-average size (64 lbs). Big or larger frame dogs are more prone to injuries while training and competing and gut twist/bloat versus smaller to average sized retrievers.

Lastly, I bred to Vader because you cannot see or know of potential health problems when breeding to a younger stud dog because the problems haven’t surfaced yet. Vader is still healthy, training, and competing successfully with NO TPLO surgeries at ten years old! His eyes were checked and cleared via OFA in 2023!

Amateur trained and handled through basics, professionally trained and handled through advanced work and testing due to my work schedule and locations. Her drive is extremely high, however she controls it with focus when it’s time to work. Mia LOVES to run long, it’s in her blood, she’s a field trial dog running hunt test! She’s a very loving goofball with a TON of personality when she is off duty. She has a fantastic off switch and LOVES WATER!
